Renovations are currently underway at the Government Center and Bonifacio Park. Work began on April 14, 2019 to remove the dilapidated patio of the Government Center, which had been in a state of disrepair since 2017 due to the forces of the Santa Ana winds, with the roof virtually gone and the wood deteriorating. Bonifacio Park itself was also in an untidy state, with weed and brush overgrowth. The patio was fully removed on April 15, and the park is currently being trimmed. The Pebblestone National Pet Cemetery will also undergo renovation, removing the plant overgrowth and restoring the gravestones.
Additions, such as a new patio and possibly a swimming spa will be added sometime in the near future, when work is commenced.

At 10 in the morning, residents of Highland Province were surprised to see snow falling from the sky! This rare event lasted for about ten minutes. This was the first time snow had fallen in this area since 2007.
As “lowlanders”, residents of Highland Province only get to see the snow from a distance up in the mountains unless they drive there themselves. Today, however, we were able to experience this uncommon event as snow began to blanket the ground. It is expected to snow again later tonight from 7 PM to 9 PM. Today, November 30, 2018, marks exactly 155 years since Andres Bonifacio, the "Father of the Philippine Revolution", was born. In commemeration of this event, we Rizalines celebrate Bonifacio Day in memory of his bloodshed and patriotism. Andres Bonifacio (November 30, 1863 - May 10, 1897) was a Filipino revolutionary leader and President of the Tagalog Republic. He was also founder of the Katipunan, a society whose efforts led to Philippine independence. He fought the Spanish for his countrymen, defining what it means to be a patriot. Bonifacio is considered one of the national heroes of our nation, because he indirectly fought for what is now New Rizalia. Andres Bonifacio depicted on the $5 New Rizaline dollar (Caelus commomorative edition). Today, Andres Bonifacio is remembered in many ways in New Rizalia; with his own national holiday, a depiction in our nations currency, with a park named after him, and many more. His legacy will forever live on.
A jaw section from Menoceras, the only fossil ever found in New Rizaline soil; from the NMNR Paleontological Collection. On November 22, 2018, Menoceras was declared to be New Rizalia's national fossil. A jaw section of Menoceras, which is currently housed in the National Museum's collection, is currently the only fossil ever found within New Rizalia. The fossil comes from Highland Province, being approximately 30-19 million years old from the Miocene epoch.
Menoceras was a genus of small rhinoceros which lived in most of southern North America during the early Miocene epoch from 30.7 - 19.7 million years ago, existing for roughly 11 million years. Menoceras lived in tropical, savanna-like grassland and plains environment, living in large herds. Menoceros grew to a length of 5 feet long, around the size of a large pig, or a domesticated sheep. Being the only fossil ever found in New Rizalia, the fossil is important because it gives clues as to what the prehistoric New Rizaline environment was like, as well as which organisms inhabited it. Dumunpalit Island, a newly established territory of New Rizalia. Recently, there have been some territorial changes in the nation of New Rizalia. Two states, Bantac and Highland Province, have had their areas extended. On October 17, 2018, in Bantac, the nearby small, rocky Malubutglubut Islands were incorporated into the state. Highland Province's area was extended to include the nearby mountainous regions.
In addition, a new territory was established on October 28, 2018. The territory's name is Dumunpalit Island (also known as Turtle Island due to its appearance). Currently, there are no movements to officially incorporate the island into New Rizalia as a state. Flag of the Kingdom of Ikonia.
